About The Event

This special two-day leadership training workshop is aimed at equipping leaders with advanced skills to effectively lead their teams in a post-Covid world.

To suitably cover the vast scope of the subject, we are hosting this as a two-day event, spread over six modules with breaks in between.
The workshop will be led by Mark Oliver, a renowned leadership expert and coach and the Founder of MarkTwo Consulting.

The workshop has been designed for video-based delivery. All modules will include a combination of speaker presentations, Q&A segments as well as breakout exercises designed to help participants understand and apply various concepts.

Mark Oliver

Leadership Expert and Coach; Founder, MarkTwo Consulting

Educated at Cambridge University, followed by the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and the Royal School of Military Engineering, Mark Oliver began his career as a combat and chemical engineer. However, he quickly started to get a greater interest in human performance and leadership. His first role was in Britain’s 5 Airborne Brigade, where he was jungle warfare and helicopter-abseil instructor. He was also a qualified demolitions officer for 11 years before moving into the business world twenty years ago.

An author of three books on motivation and leadership, Mark has taught in multicultural environments with 60 different nationalities across six continents. He brings a comprehensive analysis to the field of high-performing teams through his insights into motivational leadership. He also advises on talent management and assessment, and coaches executives on the finer points of human performance in business.

Module 3: Leading to Less Staff Churn and How Does Money Motivate?

Avoid both the classic hiring mistake and the Peter Principle (promoting employees to the level of their incompetence). Learn the limitations of paying more and how to keep staff without promoting them.

Module 4: Building an Innovative and Learning Organisation

How is continuous improvement different from innovation? Understand your natural preference between the two, whether you are a procrastinator or precrastinator, and learn how to increase your creativity in practical ways.
