India's Middle Class
The paper is a rejoinder to the Economists' recent article on India's middle class arguing that this constituency is a lot smaller than previously believed and, consequently, that India was not such an attractive market after all. The fact is India offers an opportunity that is unique and its attractiveness stems from the combination of a large current market together with a high rate of growth.
